I started in grade 7 but took a 2 and a half year hiatus part way through high school until my second year of university.
How long have you been involved with the UIG?
This is my first year with UIG!
What or who got you interested in improv?
My brother used to do it, not that I'm saying he was any good *shots* but he used to always call me a drama queen as a kid so when I took drama in junior high it was a fine fit.
What is something most people don't know about UIG?
It actually stands for University Illuminati Group, but dont tell anyone that. They may have me killed.
What is something most people don't know about you?
That I sharted in my pants in grade 10. Wait, most people know that.
What is the best part about being a member of UIG?
Probably all of the friends you make, having improv in my life again or the endless times I've been able to blow off class for Deweys to hang with UIG friends.
Are there scenes or lines that have stuck with you?
Hunter and I used to do improv together in Jr. High and one of the scenes that stuck with me had our teacher falling out of her chair. Its not really appropriate so I'll just leave the idea of fudge as a hint.
What do you consider your greatest achievement, either on or off the stage?
Probably just having the courage to do the first show this year, I almost puked beforehand I was so nervous. That or finally killing a kick it at the Impulse festival this year, word.
What advice would you give someone interested in trying improv?
Do you like stuff? Do you like not having to do work beforehand? Then you'll love improv, come on down!
What is your field of study/work/interest outside of improv?
I'm studying to be a teacher of English, Drama and Spanish! But the end goal is to learn to control gerbils with my mind, so far I've had nominal success...
Anything else you want to add?
No Amy, there is not.
